New base makes space for more contemporary showroom experience for interior specialist
The new Kettering premises of Walls and Floors, part of the Tile Mountain Group, on the Telford Way Industrial Estate, will see a more contemporary showroom store setting for the interior specialist, according to Eddisons who acted as the sole agent in the letting of Unit 1 Linnell Way to the company.
The unit is a 11,770 sq ft, self-contained, detached trade counter-style unit with on-site parking on Linnell Way. It has undergone a full upgrade and refurbishment by the landlord prior to completion of the lettings deal.
Walls and Floors confirms that Linnell Way replaces its previous Kettering showroom on Wilson Terrace, and will be open to both retail and trade clients. Additional features in the new showroom will see room settings, image boards, children’s play areas as well as its Trepanel acoustic wall panel range to view and shop for.
The interiors company has been established and located in the Northamptonshire area since 1987. A national brand through its online presence, its showroom allows customers to come and view products in situ.
In seeking new, larger showroom premises for the past 12 months, the company needed to stay in the Kettering area to maintain access to good road connections, proximity to its warehouse site on Garrard Way, and also for the convenience of its highly experienced staff who will relocate to Linnell Way.
As Jeremy Harris, Managing Director of the Tile Mountain Group, explains, its new showroom location more than matched its search criteria.
He said, “We had specific criteria in mind when searching for a new property. With our new location on Linnell Way, we not only meet but exceed those requirements. The premises are large and built to a higher specification, providing an enhanced environment for both our staff and customers.
“Additionally, our proximity to the A14 junction offers better accessibility, and being closer to other complementary home improvement retailers further strengthens our market presence.”
Gilbert Harvey of Eddisons, who led the agency’s letting instruction on Linnell Way on behalf of the landlord, added, “Telford Way Industrial Way continues to perform as Kettering’s prime commercial premises hot spot.
“For location, it can’t really be beaten for showroom and trade counter occupiers, and it retains its appeal for more industrially-focused businesses too.”
