Lincolnshire's 'Food Valley' is filling up

A new commercial development in South Lincolnshire’s Food Enterprise Zone (FEZ) is set to play its part in reinforcing the wider region’s position as the UK’s ‘Food Valley’.

That’s the view of the Lincoln property agency team that, on behalf of Stirlin and in acting jointly with Poyntons Consultancy, has just launched a new-build scheme of 22,000 sq ft of industrial & office space on a 1.23 acre site just north of Holbeach.

The scheme, Stirlin Innovation Park - which received planning approval earlier this year - sees 12 high-specification purpose built industrial business units ranging in size from 1,313 sqft. to 2,152 sqft. available for sale on a long lease basis or, subject to negotiation and agreement, to let.

All 12 units will have workshop/production space, with 4 designed and offered with first floor office accommodation too.

The Stirlin Innovation Park takes its place within the area’s FEZ, 8 miles from Spalding and 24 miles from Peterborough, in a strategic location at the intersection of the A17 and A151 trunk roads.

The South Lincolnshire FEZ is home to a range of public and private sector partners involved in pioneering further developments in the county’s key AgriTech sector, including the University of Lincoln.

As one of the newest schemes on the wider site, occupiers at Stirlin Innovation Park will have the chance to join other operators in having access to the site’s shared ‘Hub’ facility for events, networking, catering and business support services.

According to Eddisons, Stirlin Innovation Park offers the chance to be in a central part of the UK Food Valley where, in producing 30 per cent of the country’s vegetable & salad production, satellite and associated business opportunities look set to grow further in the AgriTech sector.

Work on site is expected to commence early next year, with the units scheduled for completion later in 2025.
