Historic building sold in the cathedral city of Ely
Acting on behalf of the vendor, Eddisons has successfully completed the sale of a historic building in the cathedral city of Ely.
The three storey premises, totalling 140 sq m (1,506 sq ft), are at 28 Fore Hill, only a short walking distance from the High Street and Market Square.
The historic building dates from the early 19th century and is configured to provide a retail unit on the ground floor with a two/three bedroom maisonette on the first and second floors. At the rear is a dilapidated two-storey extension which was previously used for residential purposes before falling into disrepair.
The freehold sale price achieved was £370,000 and, according to Eddisons, the new owner intends to occupy the retail unit for their own use and let the flat.
