A lease reassignment completed by Eddisons has seen a software firm with a manufacturing client base relocate within Northamptonshire from a roadside business park to premises with a rural outlook.
Intouch Monitoring Ltd, who specialise in developing production monitoring software for the manufacturing sector, has moved within the county from Sywell Aerodrome Business Park in Sywell, Northamptonshire to Tithe Farm, Holcot to occupy The Bull Pens and The Granary business units.
The firm had been at the Sywell location since 2007, and the end of the lease on its premises there prompted a search for a bigger property in order to accommodate a shift away from on-site visits to more online interaction with clients since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Whereas the previous premises saw Intouch Monitoring with only one dedicated meeting room in which to conduct client meetings via Zoom & Teams calls, The Bull Pens and The Granary business units - which, in total, are 1,785 sq ft - have a number of meeting rooms and breakout spaces in which to conduct online client liaison and in-house meetings.
Additionally, a courtyard area gives scope and space for additional business and social interaction between colleagues - all part of a new outlook for the firm that a countryside location has given it as Nathan Clarke of Intouch Monitoring Ltd explained.
“We had outgrown our former premises and needed additional space to grow the team and it was crucial for us to have more space for colleagues to conduct meetings without the distraction of others”, he confirmed.
Nathan Clarke continued, “With colleagues commuting from Kettering, Rugby and Birmingham as well as more local Northampton locations, we needed to remain in the county too.
“Tithe Farm ticked all the boxes - and offered additional benefits. The courtyard has introduced the opportunity for more social events. For colleagues who run at lunchtimes, the rural location is far more pleasant than being on a roadside business park.
“Plus, being on a working farm with views across the fields gives us a fresh outlook and couldn’t offer a better contrast with our working sector focus.”
Amanda Lawrence, Agency Surveyor in Eddisons’ Kettering office, negotiated the lease assignment on behalf of a downsizing client who no longer needed the Tithe Farm space and had purchased offices elsewhere.
Speaking about the deal, Amanda Lawrence, said, “We were instructed to find a tenant to take over the lease and, it being my business to know which businesses have property requirements in the area, we were able to get Bull Pens and Granary Farm under offer to Intouch Monitoring almost straightaway, without the need to launch on the open market.
“Eddisons is also retained by the landlord to manage the Tithe Farm development, so I knew that Intouch Monitoring would be a good fit.”
