What is RemoteZone?

RemoteZone is our advanced, temporary monitored alarm system designed to continuously monitor vacant properties and their contents.

The SSAIB-accredited wireless alarms are installed within 48 hours of the order being placed and 24/7 remote monitoring begins instantly, enabling an immediate response and safeguarding both internal and external areas of the building, while also protecting against potential threats such as fire, flood, and the movement of specific items.

What can RemoteZone be used for?

RemoteZone provides comprehensive protection and monitoring for:

  • Vacant or unoccupied commercial and residential properties
  • Buildings undergoing refurbishment or awaiting development
  • Properties at risk of vandalism, theft, or arson
  • Temporary security during periods of transition, such as tenant changes or sales

Commercial insurance services

Our insurance team provide specialist insurance and risk management solutions for a wide range of organisations. Using expert knowledge, we offer guidance on insurance and risk management solutions for various types of risks and insurance classes.

How does it work?

Installation of wireless detectors

To ensure comprehensive security, a number of wireless passive infrared (PIR) detectors are installed, depending on the type and size of the building. These detectors link to a secure, tamper-proof control box on-site that uses GPRS mobile technology, eliminating the need for mains power or a fixed landline, making the system self-powered.

Clients have the option to add a wireless audible bell box, which alerts both the intruder and nearby individuals of the activation.

Remote access and monitoring

The system is continuously monitored by a UK-based NSI Gold alarm receiving centre. As soon as any internal or external PIR sensor, flood detector, smoke detector, or equipment movement detector is triggered, the alarm activation is signalled off-site via GPRS mobile technology and received by the alarm receiving centre.

Additionally, our remote login facility allows you to access your alarm system from any web-enabled PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone to check its security status and history, providing you with additional peace of mind.

Alarm activation response

Each alarm activation is handled by a fully trained member of the alarm processing team, who manages the situation according to a pre-agreed site procedure.

The operator can track the intruder's movement throughout the building, and if an immediate response is required, the alarm receiving centre instructs an SIA-accredited mobile patrol response company to dispatch a unit to the site promptly.

Post-activation process

After an alarm activation, a report detailing the sequence of events and the outcome is sent to you. If necessary, the mobile patrol officer will remain on-site until any emergency measures, such as boarding up, are completed, ensuring your property is secure before leaving.
