Let's have a look at what you could have won...

July has proven itself to be another exciting month for our auctioneers, with highlights including an former school, a dilapidated theatre, and a old NHS building.

Our property auctions division comprise Pugh & Co, Mark Jenkinson, and SDL Property Auctions, serving the country as committed and dedicated auctioneers.

This month we saw 215 lots catalogued, raising over £23m for clients. Take a look at some of the lots that some lucky bidders were able to get hold of

Mary Woollett Centre, Doncaster DN4 5HE

With plenty of press coverage, this site had a better start than others - but this wasn't to say it wasn't worthy of the fanfare.

A twenty-five minute walk from Doncaster train station, you would be hard-pressed to find 53,380 sq. ft of mixed-use space with such a storied history

Located on 1.65 hectares of land, there is also space for 250 parking spaces.

We can't wait to see what happens with this piece of South Yorkshire heritage.

The Hesketh Centre, 51-55 Albert Road, Southport PR9 0JS

Once providing the people of Southport a space to access mental health and memory services, the Hesketh Centre has sat untouched since staff and patients moved to the Hartley Hospital 2020.

Built next to Hesketh Park in the Victorian era, the Centre is surround by similar residential properties and would benefit a sympathetic renovation.

A natural contender for residential development, we are under the impression that the local council have stated that they would forbid the building's complete demolition without a ‘full justification’.

Looking forward to its transformation after three years of standing empty.

The Former Grand Theatre, Doncaster DN1 1TT

With a nil reserve, we were very interested to see what this piece of Doncaster history was worth to our bidders this month.

In the heart of the city centre and adjacent to bus and train stations, the former Grand Theatre is a perfect location for something special!

A lot of similar buildings in the area have been developed with help from council planning permissions and a robust purpose strategy, such as the Wool Market.

We really hope to see the Doncaster stalwart in fighting shape once more.

ROC Nuclear Bunker, Sedbergh, Cumbria LA10 5RF

It's unusual to see a relic of war in such a peaceful part of the land, and yet!

We were lucky to have this nuclear bunker go under the hammer this month.

Still in its original condition with sympathetic refurbishment, there is also significant land attached alongside a path leading to the bunker as well as the accompanying shed.

Will this memento of the past be kept in its current glory, or will the lucky buyer take advantage of the popular choice to convert bunkers into telephone masts? Only time will tell!

Denewood Crescent, Nottingham NG8 3DA

Tools up for this next property which fetched an outstanding £119,000 last month!

A spacious three-bed mid-terrace house with gardens to the front and rear went for over double its guide price, showing how popular both residential houses and auctions are becoming. Make no mistake: people still want to buy and own where they live.

This large house was in great need of repair, but with such a saving made on this house - in the charming suburb of Bilborough - there is no doubt that our savvy buyers have hit the jackpot here.

Old Hall Farm, Twyford Road, Derby DE73 7GA

Another lovely house was sold in July, and it couldn't have been further from the last!

This Grade II listed farmhouse on the outskirts of Derby, complete with cowshed, was everything our buyer was looking for! So much say this was sold prior to auction.

A sprawling cottage, it is located on a 0.5 acre plot with views for miles. And although in the quite idyllic south Derbyshire village of Barrow on Trent, this farmhouse also benefits from fantastic transport links and connections.

31A Vaughan Road, Harrow HA1 4DP

This apartment proved to be just the ticket for our lucky auction bidder a few weeks ago.

Another 'doer-upper', the flat was snapped up for only £18,000 more than its guide price!

Situated in the popular commuter town of Harrow, you can have the best of both worlds - city living in a relaxed residential setting.

A perfect rental opportunity for a budding landlord, or a home for someone with a skill for DIY, we're delighted that this sale went through.
