The Plan for Neighbourhoods fund has been introduced to revitalise communities across the United Kingdom. Each selected location must submit a Regeneration Plan to receive funding, and that is where our team can help. Get in touch to start the process.
What is the Plan for Neighbourhoods fund?
Plan for Neighbourhoods is an un-competed fund designed to improve areas in desperate need of development. This will be done by regenerating high streets, local parks, youth clubs, cultural venues, libraries and health and wellbeing services.
The areas that qualify for the capital were confirmed in Spring 2025, with local authorities and communities that are the most left behind being the ones selected. A full list of the 75 eligible locations can be found on the government’s prospectus page.
How much funding is available for the Plan for Neighbourhoods scheme?
£1.5 billion will be allocated to the 75 local authorities and communities over the next 10 years. Each location will be able to claim up to £20 million to carry out improvements.
"The government’s £1.5 billion investment in the Plan for Neighbourhoods scheme presents a significant opportunity for local authorities to enhance their communities, fostering economic growth, improving public spaces and creating vibrant, sustainable environments for residents to thrive."
How do I apply for Plan for Neighbourhoods funding?
If your local area has been selected for Plan for Neighbourhoods, you will be able to apply for funding via a Regeneration Plan. This will be drafted by a Neighbourhood Board consisting of residents, local businesses, grassroots campaigners, workplace representatives, faith and community leaders, and those with a deep connection to their area.
Your Regeneration Plan must include a detailed strategy for the first 4-year investment period cycle. As this is a new initiative, we understand the importance of getting it right, which is why we are here to help you put your plan together.
