Connecting Stuart House

Built in 1983 with the addition of studio working completed in 2017, Stuart House has seen a number of huge changes within the working world – especially in how and where we work.

With most business relying on online and telecommunications now, it was high time that the IT and data infrastructure was updated to reflect a modern workforce.

CHALLENGE

All IT and data infrastructure needed to be transformed and upgraded to satisfy the many different businesses that run from Stuart House. Jason, with support from his team, identified and analysed all services on site to understand the priorities that the businesses and the property owner have.

The situation was found to trickier than expected as many communication and data networks had been installed across the decades, meaning that the infrastructure had to be completely redeveloped from scratch.

SOLUTION

Once analysis had been completed, and requirements had been drawn out, Eddisons put the project out to tender with local and national suppliers who could not only streamline the network but futureproof it for current and future tenants.

Modern Networks was awarded the project and provided a resilient service that provided core internet and data services to Stuart House’s communal area as well as giving the Studio lettings dedicated ultrafast fibre broadband.

Liaising with the “fantastic, diligent, and dedicated onsite team”, Modern Networks was able to replace the multiple old networks with a singular, far-reaching connection based within cloud telephony.

RESULTS

Stuart House’s Grade A office space is now able to withstand even more activity and has enough bandwidth for the office’s tenants and visitors to complete multifaceted projects without disruption.

The network has improved internal facilities too, such as the 24-hour secured access, the fully quipped gym, and onsite café.
