Project
A local council in the North of England had a number of property assets which they needed to dispose of quickly and efficiently. This was largely as a result of a need to the address the increased pressure to reduce costs, which has been the case over recent years. Naturally, they needed to sell them in the public arena to demonstrate transparency.
Approach
The Council instructed Pugh & Co, Eddisons’ specialist auction arm, to sell the properties on their behalf.
They valued the expert advice, maximum market exposure, value for money, impressive auction venues and one of the highest sales success rates in the UK which Pugh offers.
The structure of the Pugh auction process also guarantees an open and transparent sale – and, as Eddisons is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Council appreciated our being fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements, including anti Money Laundering and data protection legislation and handling client money.
Results
Pugh successfully sold all the assets which the Council had identified as being surplus to requirements. The sale was carried out swiftly and efficient, and the Council were delighted to find that the sale delivered results beyond their expectations.
