Over £210k realised in sheet metal asset auction
The Administrators of a metal fabrication business were delighted after the machinery and business assets team at Eddisons delivered another successful auction, realising over £210,000.
The assets of BMJ (Manufacturing) Limited in Slough were auctioned on behalf of the Administrators, after the firm ceased to trade last month.
Lots included in the auction were an Amada Lasmac laser cutter, Amada press brake, Guillotine, forklift truck, specialist tooling and associated fabrication equipment
Interest in the auction came from far and wide including registrations from Russia, USA, Greece, Poland and across Europe.
The laser cutter realised over £60k, the press brake over £40k and the guillotine over £26k, following a number of late bids, pushing the total amount realised at in excess of £210k.
Malcolm Good, National Head of Asset Auctions for Eddisons, said: “I’m delighted with the sale as we had some strong interest from across the globe and the level of registered bidders, together with the realisations, was much higher than expected.
“Interestingly, most of the larger items ended-up with end-users within the UK which shows that despite the weaker pound at the minute we still achieved a fair market price.
