New Tenant At Former Allied Bakeries Site

The Bradford office of Chartered Surveyors Eddisons has completed the letting of the former Allied Bakeries site in Bradford.

The unit on Upper Castle Street, off Manchester Road, extends to over 26,000 sq ft and has been let to Northern Pump Suppliers, off an asking rent of £4.25 per sq ft.

The new tenant supplies pumps and pumping systems to the food, hygiene, water and waste water treatment industries and is relocating from its main 8,000 sq ft premises on Bowling Back Lane in Bradford, along with two other sites elsewhere in the city.

Eddisons acted on behalf of the landlord, Pitcliffe Properties Ltd.

Meanwhile, Complete Electrical Solutions Ltd, who trade as Yesss Electrical, is the latest tenant to be attracted to the Fowler Street Industrial Estate, off Wakefield Road, in Bradford.

The firm has completed a major refurbishment of 3 units, extending to 5,000 sq ft, to create a state of the art trade counter.

Eddisons concluded the deal off an asking rent of £4.50 per sq ft, on behalf of Brighouse Estate Pension Fund Ltd.

Elsewhere, a shop in Bradford, previously occupied by stationery and office products supplier Probyns for over 25 years, is to become a dessert bar.

Eddisons has let the property on Tyrrel Street, which extends 2,261 sq ft, to a private individual, off an asking rent of £22,500 per annum.

The firm acted on behalf of Exelmar Estates Ltd.

John Padgett of Eddisons said: ‘We are delighted to have secured strong tenants on long term leases on behalf of established clients.

‘It is very encouraging to see both new and existing occupiers taking up space in the Bradford district.’
