Simon Burton

Simon Burton originally joined the Agency team at Barker Storey Matthews' Bury St Edmunds office in 2003, after completing a diploma in Surveying Practice and a degree in Estate Management from the University of Reading. Simon progressed through the business becoming a Director of BSM in 2012, a role he has continued since the sale to Eddisons in 2019. He spent two years in the Peterborough office before returning to Bury St Edmund, heading up the Agency team.

Simon deals with all Agency matters across the industrial, office, and retail sectors and is experienced in investment and development work across Suffolk and South Norfolk, as well as acquisition, consultancy, and lease advisory work. Acting for a wide range of clients, including private individuals, public sector bodies, property companies, and institutional clients, Simon has dealt with a variety of projects, most notably Suffolk Business Park- a 57-acre development scheme in Bury St Edmunds.

In addition to his role at Eddisons, Simon is actively involved with several local organizations in Bury St Edmunds in both governance and non-executive capacities.
