James Hunston

James Hunston joined Eddisons is September 2021 as a Graduate Building Surveyor, working within the Building and Project Consultancy team in Sheffield after completion of his Master’s degree in Building Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University.

James converted to his master’s degree in Building Surveying following completion of his BA (Hons) undergraduate degree in Interior Architecture and Design, providing him with a vast array of transferable skills and knowledge of construction and the built environment to create a firm footing in his new path of building surveying. He is currently working towards achieving chartership status with the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors within the next 12 months.

In Eddisons' Building and Project Consultancy sector, James has fulfilled a diverse range of responsibilities catering to clients from both the private and public sectors. His duties encompass project management and development monitoring, including overseeing new build residential developments of up to 600 plots on behalf of financial institutions. Additionally, he provides various professional services such as reinstatement cost assessments, dilapidation surveys, and photographic schedules of condition.
