Eddisons Shortlisted For National Award
The Machinery and Business Assets department of chartered surveyors Eddisons is in the running for a major national award.
The firm is among the finalists in the Asset Valuer/Auctioneer of the Year category at the Insolvency & Rescue Awards 2012. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 10.
The Machinery and Business Assets department deals with valuations, insolvencies and disposals across all market sectors including printing, textiles, haulage, construction and civil engineering.
Eddisons has recently handled sales of a 200 strong haulage fleet, multi-location Mercedes commercial dealership and has just been awarded a contract to dispose of a fully functioning satellite broadcasting facility in Bahrain.
Sales take place through a bespoke on-line auction platform which caters for both large and small sales to multi-national, national and local companies. In the past 12 months Eddisons has held over 100 on-line auctions and private treaty sales.
Prior to the auctions taking place assets are stored and made available to view at the firm’s dedicated auction centre in Yorkshire.
Jason Pinder Head of Machinery and Business Assets for Eddisons said: ‘Our service has been well received by vendors and buyers and helps the likes of insolvency practitioners with the orderly wind down and disposal of industrial sites, often achieving an enhanced value over and above that expected in a distressed situation.
‘It is pleasing that our work in this area has been acknowledged by the awards panel.’
