Eddisons Office Search Success
The Leeds office of Chartered Surveyors Eddisons has successfully sourced new offices in Leeds city centre on behalf of an equity investment firm.
YFM Equity Partners, who invest in fast-growing small UK businesses, appointed Eddisons when they were looking to relocate from their existing offices on Chapeltown Road on the outskirts of Leeds, to a more central location.
They have agreed a 10 year lease on approximately 3,000 sq ft on the fifth floor of Valiant Building, the former Friends Provident premises on South Parade.
Steven Jones, Associate Director at Eddisons said: ‘We carried out a thorough search of the market and presented the client with three potential options which best matched their specific requirements.
‘Once Valiant was identified as the preferred choice we used our local market intelligence to secure favourable terms.’
David Gee, Director of Investments at YFM Equity Partners, who also have offices in London, Sheffield and Manchester said: ‘Eddisons clearly has a very strong knowledge of the local commercial office landscape, which is what attracted us to them in the first place.
‘They were able to source exactly the right premises within the key professional district, on the best terms.’
Eddisons is also actively pursuing further office acquisitions on behalf of a range of clients with deals expected to be announced shortly.
Mr Jones says: ‘Acquisition and tenant representation services are developing into a key part of our agency department offering. As demand for good quality commercial stock is now out stripping supply, occupier clients increasingly need our local market knowledge and advice.’
