Project
Our Building and Project Consultants were appointed by HCAT to design and manage a toilet refurbishment project. The works consisted of stripping out existing fixings and finishing’s to 7 toilets and install new IPS systems, plumbing services and finishing’s. The project was funded by the Academy Trust.
Approach
Throughout the duration of work, we were the central point of contact for both the Trust and the school. We attended weekly progress meetings and worked closely with the main contractor to inspect progress against the agreed programme of works, ensuring work remained on schedule, to budget and to a consistently high standard of workmanship. We also ensured that the client was kept fully updated for the duration of the project.
Results
The project was delivered from start to finish during the Covid-19 pandemic, creating additional challenges around working to ‘covid secure’ protocols. However, with detailed logistical planning and the correct precautions, the project was delivered on time and on budget.
