The owners of Holdforth Court (St Anne’s Community Services) approached Eddisons to market their head office property, which is a prominent 20 year old former hostel in Leeds city centre, a short walk to Victoria Gate, John Lewis and Leeds City Bus Station. St Anne's provides care, support and housing services for people with learning disabilities and mental health issues across the North of England.
Approach
Eddisons were appointed as sole agents to market the building. We produced RICS compliant valuation, then prepared documentation to advise clients on the potential of the site. A comprehensive marketing campaign targeting local and regional purchasers was developed.
Results
The successful marketing campaign secured a purchaser for the building who plans to develop the site into a major residential area. The marketing strategy resulted in a high level of enquiries, including local and regional buyers, and the sale was completed by private treaty. Ultimately the building sold for an impressive £2.2m.
