Project
Eddisons were appointed to provide highways and transport advice to support a planning application for the redevelopment of the former Yorkshire Post HQ - a key gateway site for the city of Leeds.
Approach
The proposals include the construction of four principal buildings that would provide 40,000sqm of office and circa 200 residential apartments, together with a mix of ancillary uses at ground floor. The Transport Assessment included a consideration of the impact of the proposals on an already-busy highway network.
We also prepared the S278 design for the proposed access arrangements, which were required to allow for the Council’s Cycle Superhighway scheme.
Results
Planning approval was secured for 200 homes and a range of other uses, including bars, restaurants and leisure facilities.
