Eddisons were appointed by an Academy Trust in Sunderland to oversee the Design and Project Management of an academy extension to create a Head Office inclusive of training room facilities.
Approach
The extension works followed an extensive £1,000,000.00 external façade refurbishment which was also Designed and Project Managed by Eddisons following two successful CIF applications.
Our Building and Project Consultancy team assisted our client from inception through to completion, ensuring that all statutory obligations were satisfied and that the project was completed within the allocated budget and on programme.
Results
Our proactive and dedicated approach, working in conjunction with the main contractor Compass Developments NE Ltd, resulted in the successful delivery of the £500,000.00 project. The building will now accommodate an extra 16 Academy Trust employees in one central location.
The Academy is now compliant with current building regulations, more energy efficient and has been aesthetically transformed to create a modern learning and working environment.
Eddisons have been a pleasure to work with in transforming the appearance and performance of our estate.
All of the works were undertaken in a live academic environment which we were dreading from a Health and Safety perspective, however, Eddisons ensured that the Health and Safety measures were implemented at all times and the disruption to the academy was actually minimal. We would recommend Eddisons to others.
