Bumper Catalogue Heralds Start Of Auction Year
Chartered surveyor Eddisons has attracted 160 lots for its first two day auction of the year.
These include Wonderland, the well known covered market on North Promenade in Cleethorpes.
The property extends to around 59,000 sq ft and occupies a site of nearly 3 acres. The guide price is £425,000 plus.
It is being offered for sale in the same month that the iconic Cleethorpes Pier also goes under the hammer.
Meanwhile, a prime waterside development site on Greyfriars Road in Doncaster, extending to around 0.92 acres is being offered on the instructions of the Canal & River Trust at a guide price of £250,000 plus.
Pre auction interest is reported as being ‘high’ for a vacant detached former Council office premises in Headingley, near Leeds, which is guided at £120,000 plus.
In the nearby village of Scarcroft, a residential building plot off Ling Lane, one of the area’s most desirable addresses, with planning permission for a five bedroom property, is guided at £260,000 plus.
Elsewhere, a unique barn conversion opportunity at Bleara Moor near Barnoldswick has a guide of £175,000 plus.
The barn occupies a site of approximately 9 acres within a rural location and is offered with full planning permission for conversion to a three bedroom house.
In Bacup, the former Beulah Methodist Church which comprises 11 self-contained apartments producing annual income of £35,700 has a guide price of £375,000 plus.
Commercial stock includes a mixed retail and office building in the centre of Wakefield which is part let to William Hill, producing annual income of £20,000. The guide price is £230,000 plus, a potential return of 8.7%.
And, a tenanted retail unit in the heart of Altrincham town centre producing £24,000 per annum, is guided at £140,000 plus.
Residential stock includes the former Oddys Lock House located on the Leeds and Liverpool canal, close to the centre of Leeds.
The vacant three bedroom house had originally been scheduled for the October auction, but was withdrawn prior to the sale. The guide price is £100 to £110,000.

The two day sale takes place on February 21st at Leeds United Football Ground, Elland Road, Leeds and on February 26th at the Premier Inn, Trafford Park, Manchester. Both sales start at 12.30pm.
