Challenge
Eddisons were instructed by a retailer to carry out a portfolio valuation of six large retail warehouses which were located throughout the UK. The valuation was to support the company structure.
Solution
As soon as we were appointed by the client we agreed the terms of engagement and our RICS registered valuers got to work to inspect the six large warehouses. A combination of work was carried out to study the building and surrounding area. Eddisons also accomplished all due diligence, obtained comparable investment evidence and evaluated each warehouse individually to attain a value.
Results
The work enabled Eddisons to report to the client the values for each of the retail warehouses to help assist them with the work they were doing. The valuation inspections also enabled Eddisons to find issues that resulted in our building surveying department develop a maintenance and repair programme across the suite of retail warehouses.
